Hey Guys!

Welcome back, I have recently returned from Melbourne, Victoria after visiting the iconic Brighton Bathing Boxes. This place has been on my bucket list ever since I moved to Australia. The tv and internet have constantly bombarded me with pictures and ads of these cute, colorful boxes on the regular. So I knew I had to go and visit one day. It was not until Pat’s soccer team was scheduled to play in Melbourne that my dream of seeing these boxes turned into a reality.

My friends and I took the 6 am plane from Newcastle and arrived at 7:40 am in Melbourne. After dropping our bags at our hotel, we headed to Flinders Station to catch the train to Brighton. The train ride to Brighton was quick, taking only about 30 minutes. We got off at the Middle Brighton train station and proceeded to walk about 15-20 minutes to the bathing boxes. Navigating from the train station to the bathing boxes was very simple and a lot easier than I thought.

We arrived at the bathing boxes, stepped onto the beach and proceeded to walk along and take pictures. The boxes were so unique and I loved how each one had its own personality. It would have been nice to see them open and be able to spend time on the beach, but unfortunately, we came during the middle of winter. If you are ever in Melbourne, I definitely recommend visiting these adorable bathing boxes just a stone’s throw from Melbourne CBD.

I am intrigued by these beach boxes, I assume some very lucky people own them. I’ll have to check out Brighton when I’m next in Victoria!
